The Great Sunflower Project

If you're concerned about bee colony collapse disorder and the miscellaneous other problems affecting pollinators around the country, check out the Great Sunflower Project. When you register to join the project, they'll send you a pack of sunflower seeds to grow in your garden or on your balcony with instructions for how to count and report the bees that come to visit the sunflower blooms. You get some beautiful flowers for your garden plus a chance to play Mr. or Ms. Science--what a deal!
